TEC is excited to announce that James Flanagan has joined our team as Vice President of Construction, effective Monday, December 1.
Jim brings over 30 years of executive construction leadership across industrial, institutional, healthcare, and commercial sectors. His career includes successfully delivering complex, multimillion-dollar projects while prioritizing operational efficiency, cost control, and client satisfaction.
Most recently, Jim served as Vice President of Operations at Waters and Bugbee, overseeing company-wide project execution, pre-construction strategy, financial management, and field operations. He has also held leadership roles at Nelson Air, Sentinel Mechanical Group, Lendlease, and BR+A Consulting Engineers, managing projects exceeding $300M and driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Licensed in New Jersey as a Master HVAC/R and Master Plumber, Jim’s expertise spans scheduling, estimating, design coordination, and team development.
As VP of Construction at TEC, Jim will lead the Project Management team and oversee construction strategy, project delivery, operational workflows, and long-term departmental growth. He will collaborate closely with Engineering, Commissioning, Purchasing, Graphics, Finance, and Service teams to ensure seamless execution across all projects. Jim reports to Colin Gumbs, COO.
