When it comes to social responsibility, One Bryant Park stands out for its highly influential carbon footprint in New York City. From extensive CoGen plants, to ice storage, and maximized air quality controls, the first ever LEED Platinum tower accelerates this movement. Members of the New York ASHREA Chapter took a tour of the facility to get a better understanding and knowledge of the highly functioning attributes that not only keep the occupants safe and secure, but also sustainably driven. Since 2010, TEC helped the overhaul and design of the towers automation controls and workstations. TEC provided the engineers with a focused and expansive workstation that creatively depicts the major systems through a beautiful FacilityView™ created by our graphics team. Working together with the members and TEC’s staff helped to provide a conducive and synonyms setup that would allow for better workflow, management and ultimately profitable running conditions. The immeasurable results were easily attainable with the use of Honeywell XL controllers and an open protocol infrastructure to assure realtime data, alarms and trending for advanced calibration.
